Fairphone is starting the long-awaited rollout of ANDROID 15 to the 📱FAIRPHONE 4️⃣ "tonight" – that might mean 18:00 (Amsterdam time) which is the time mark most of Fairphone's recent updates became available. Note that this is a PHASED❕rollout, so don't be surprised if it's not your own FP4's turn yet today. /u

@PeachMcD I am not a developer myself either, but roughly it is Fairphone publishing as much as they can of the code of their operating system. This allows people (who can) to modify/adapt the operating system. And in general, opening up your source code also allows (theoretically) anyone who can could still further develop it even when a company no longer exists (NOTE I do not expect the latter to happen to Fairphone 😇).
