I think it is fantastic news for developers & IT Pros and I hear you can even upgrade BIOS/firmware using Linux. So there is no more need for Win11馃槈

The real win is getting your new ThinkPad without the stupid "Windows tax." Once it's delivered, you're free to format it and install the Linux distro of your choice! Personally if I order such machine I will stick with Debian 13 or may be just go back to Arch Linux ;)
