Most people want a usable OS - they don鈥檛 want any AI or copilot capabilities. But who will tell them? https://www.windowscentral.com/microsoft/windows-11/microsoft-ai-ceo-pushes-back-against-critics-after-recent-windows-ai-backlash-the-fact-that-people-are-unimpressed-is-mindblowing-to-me

How do you work as a CEO when you don't know what customers wants? They are totally out of touch and batshit crazy with AI.

A screenshot of a news article headline.

The headline reads: "Microsoft AI CEO pushes back against critics after recent Windows AI backlash - 'the fact that people are unimpressed ... is mindblowing to me'"

Below the headline is the short summary: "Mustafa Suleyman says people that are unimpressed with AI's capabilities are mind blowing to him, after recent backlash around Copilot and Windows as an agentic OS."

@nixCraft It's not a matter of being impressed. I don't want to cede control to anybody, regardless of whether they're impressive.

Copilot is an amazing thing. Whether it's a fair payback for the cost is a different question and way more important.

@nixCraft Microsoft went all-in on AI, burning more budget on it than on anything before. They simply won't accept it to fail and keep pushing just to safe their image.

@nixCraft I'd like to tell this idiot that I do find some AI advancements quite enticing, but not if they have to make our world inhabitable due to the constant consumption of water and energy.

I was already worried about what world we would leave to future generations before having a kid, now that I have a toddler more so.

The fact that some people don't is infuriating, to say the least.

@nixCraft I've never met a salesman who was more interested in what I wanted compared to how much money they could make from me. It's obvious that MS does not value it's users.

@nixCraft Microsoft doesn't implement features that their customers want. They implement features that they think will make them more money.
