I'm thriving and the most productive and hopeful for the fediverse, than I've been in years.
Unfortunately, there is a concerted effort to convince people otherwise, I honestly wonder why.
Such intensity could do wonders if used in the right way, for many projects.
Rather than speculate, let’s focus on what matters: shipping, stability, and making ActivityPub better for everyone ❤️

They either fear you are going to significantly steal users from them by providing a superior product or they want to weaken you to take control of the project in order to en$hittificate it down the line.
Either way is proof that you are on the right track and that you should keep pushing, stronger than ever.
Just take precautions and be vigilant, for better or worse, you are being noticed enough to warrant action on their part.

For the record, the only Pixelfed deadline was shipping a mobile app, which I did in early January 2025.
I also shipped a ton of feature and updates, and teased a few others, but this post clearly ignores the 500,000+ users who joined Pixelfed (and the fediverse) in 2025 🚀
