You need balance as a fediverse developer, being able to respond constructively to comments like this can really make or break your reputation.
I don't agree with them, and that's okay, but let's refrain from name calling.

@dansup My word. As someone who doesn't like the filter but doesn't care enough the filter to try to inflict my opinion on other people about it... Wow.
I think... your post should demonstrate the awareness that fediverse developers also spend time dealing with issues like this.
That I don't like the filter doesn't mean no one should use it. That it shouldn't be available.
The world, such as it is, doesn't suffer me.

@dansup and one thing with comments like these is you don’t have to answer to everyone. Going into a discussion with some users just leads into frustration.
Going directly into one extreme like calling a simple feature manipulative shows that even in the fediverse there are unbalanced people around that just can see one extreme or the other.
Really makes one think about giving it all up and stay offline haha.
