Maybe you could add word to the open idea issue? Ideas must ripen, after all, and the more aggregated info and potentially interested crowds known, the merrier.
I just found this nice https://workout.cool fitness webapp via HN. Though it is in a different area - workouts in a gym - it has some neat ideas, and might have ActivityPub support and additional features. They also mention badges on the roadmap so thinking @badgefed
