#Guile 3.0.11 is out! 🎉
https://www.gnu.org/software/guile/news/gnu-guile-3011-released.html
With code contributions from 35 people, mostly bug fixes but also nice new libraries!
But the main new feature is not technical: this release was handled by Rob Browning, who’s also been channeling contributions over the past few months, together with @ArneBab.
Rob went through the (clunky) release process, and now understands what needs to be done to reduce friction. :-)
It is exciting to see the project is in good hands and incorporating more contributions!!
There have been other improvements on the way, such as @ekaitz_zarraga moving lightening (the JIT code generation library of Guile) to Codeberg, with continuous integration and all, and getting lightening’s RISC-V support merged, which was long overdue.
This is a small personal instance of Bonfire in the Fediverse.
