With everyone making Chromium based clones these days, ublock origin might as well release a new browser and remove all the bad bits like forced LLM or tracking and stuff like that. I will even pay a yearly subscription to help cover the development costs.
@nixCraft Isn't that called Librewolf (it's based on ff but without bad stuff mozilla has been up to)
@nixCraft I've been hoping for something that didn't have the heavy toolchain/ecosystems that Firefox and Chromium have, something that utilizes QuickJS or similar. Pure standards-based browser. I paid $49 for Netscape back in the day. (Was that per year? I forget.)
@nixCraft my thoughts are that ublock dev鈥檚 need to cooperate with Ladybird dev鈥檚.
@nixCraft Vivaldi is a Chromium clone with a built in ad blocker
@nixCraft I don't like Blink engine, I prefer Gecko. But if Mozilla still messes, then I'll be looking for webkit or ladybird
