@vascorsd Great post! Its great that you are talking about the issues that only newcomers face because contributors just get used to them. BTW, if you want screen sharing on discord you can consider using the flatpak (flatpaks in general work well on guix).
I’m glad to see that the release got you interested to try again, looking forwards to seeing you on Codeberg :P
@baleine tks, but I'm not the author 😅. Anyway I read it and it seems like a great article with lots of details. The new release and ppl talking about it definitely got me interested in trying again. Last time I tried it was running guix on a different OS, so more as an alternative package manager and trying to use for isolated env for some projects.
It was definitely hard at the time and the difficulty in having to manage the guix as user vs guix as root still seems present and other things.
