something is wrong with mesa/xwayland git versions on panfrost/rk3588 at the moment when xwayland's glamor uses desktop GL for rendering, so kicad crashes xwayland on gnome for me. my workaround:
rm /usr/bin/Xwayland
vim /usr/bin/Xwayland

/usr/local/bin/Xwayland "$@" -glamor es
```
i wish there was an env variable for this...
lmaoo the rendering in the appearance panel is a bit "off" then though... well, can't have everything i guess
(this changes based on how wide the window is, on smaller widths it's fine, but falls apart at greater widths... some coordinate scaling error perhaps, maybe non-integer width sneaks in?)
anyway, got a pcb to finish, i shall ignore all this jank
(fascinatingly, kicad pcb editor is a _lot_ faster on rk3588 pocket reform than on my intel i9-9900+intel arc gpu, probably not because this gpu is faster but because of other inexplicable performance bugs)
