Follow an OwnCast account from Mastodon etc and it will post when it goes live:

p.s. When you see an OwnCast account posting in your timeline, click on the link in the post to go to the stream itself. The stream includes a chat window so you can interact with the person doing the stream.

You can use chat without logging in if you want, you'll be assigned an automatic random name which you can change.

Alternatively, you can log in with your Mastodon etc account to verify your identity in chat.
