@_elena Hmm. I just started with paperless-ngx on my Raspberry...
seems like a slippery slope :-)

@_elena Life comes at you fast! 😎
@_elena This is a textbook case of instance-sanity
@_elena that's amazing! Can I ask for advice on how you got so far so quick? I'm also looking to start self hosting but despite numerous YouTube videos I'm still very much unsure how to get started.
@dietitianeli simple: https://yunohost.org 🚀
I started with a VPS because I have an unreliable internet connection. For Jellyfin I will do the set up on my Raspberry Pi (but only music)
@_elena thanks so much, I've not come across yunohost before so this looks like much more beginner friendly. Thank you 🫶
@dietitianeli it’s truly THE BEST
@_elena It sounds like you've caught the Linux bug! Hosting your own services like GoToSocial, Pixelfed, PeerTube, and NextCloud is a significant undertaking, but it can be incredibly rewarding. YunoHost is a great tool to simplify the process.
@_elena Showed off my fancy new desktop to one of my friends who is in the apple walled garden. They were utterly confused on what the heck I was talking about.
That's when I knew I was in deep.
@OmarDerwy 😅 which distro if I may ask?
@_elena I am doing fedora but I disregarded the gnome desktop entirely and installed Niri with DankMaterialShell to work as my "psudo DE" shall we say 😁
Flying through different windows and workspaces on his setup is amazing!
