Today, @edumerco motivated me to give a deeper look to #Org mode and #Emacs #Lisp for processing data as a reproducible computational notebook. It reminds me this great MOOC [1]. 🤩

And today I learn more about #Sociocracy thanks @edumerco! Well, the concept of #Guix teams needs more love. 😍

🎊 *Big news*: org-social.el is now available on MELPA!

It includes:

- 📦 *MELPA Integration*: Install directly with `M-x package-install RET org-social`
- 🌍 *Discover Buffer*: Browse and follow users from the relay
- ✏️ *Edit Button*: Edit your own posts directly from timeline
- 🔧 *Interactive Org Mode*: Execute code blocks with `C-c C-c`, recalculate tables with formulas
- 👤 *My Profile Button*: Quick access to your profile from timeline header
- 🗳️ *Poll Improvements*: New "Vote" button, polls hidden from timeline (visible in threads/profiles)
- ⚡ *Performance Boost*: HTTP Range requests with `org-social-partial-fetch.el` - download only recent posts (default: 14 days via `org-social-max-post-age-days`)

Comrades, I have another tooling issue.

I’ve been using ERC + Bitlbee to follow #Mattermost discussions, but let’s face it: it sucks. Channel history is lost, conversion to plain-text IRC is lossy, and (importantly) ERC doesn’t scale when a new channel comes up (Emacs freezes while ERC processes the stream of fake IRC messages).

What do you #Emacs folks use?
